How long have you been burlesquing?
I started dancing with the Pink Chardonnays in 2013.

What drew/draws you to burlesque?
In 2010, I started pole dancing and it completely changed my life. Two years later, we had to do a burlesque routine as part of a pole assignment, and I fell in love. I asked my instructor about performing with a burlesque troupe and after a bit of research she discovered Burlesque Bikini Bootcamp and the Pink Chardonnays. Now burlesque is in my soul! I love the tease and interacting with the audience. I especially love coming up with new routines and costumes.

Who or what would you say are your burlesque influences?
I am inspired by NYC performers Apathy Angel and Tina Tassels. I see them backstage in sweat pants, rolling their suitcases, just like me. Then they transform to take the stage and own it. That is what I strive to do–put everything out of my mind to own that stage!luscious_blue

What kind of Femme Fatale are you?
This is tough because I see elements of myself in all the different female archetypes, not just Femme Fatales. If I had to pick I’d say Jessica Rabbit…”I’m not bad, I’m just drawn that way.

What does it mean to be badass?
Badass isn’t about kicking butt and taking names, it’s a state of mind. Walking into a room and being proud of who you are…being able to juggle career, family/friends, interests and still have time for yourself…giving back to the community and helping those in need…all those things are badass!

What is your behind the scenes role with FF?
I’m the go-to person for costume ideas. Need to make a bra with rip-away cups? Want to learn how to make a custom tutu or organza boa? I’m your Femme Fatale.

What do you do when you are not burlesquing?
Senior print production manager. Cake ball maker. Burlesque dancer. Jane of all trades, master of none. Seriously though, I have a home-based baking business that I am trying to bring from part-time to full-time, so I can quit the day job. This takes up most of my time. To keep my sanity in check, I dance and travel as much as I can.

What would you like to get out of this endeavor?
I love the idea of giving back to the community by doing something that I love: dancing.
